The C clef
When the C Clef is positioned on the third line of the stave, it is referred to as the Alto Clef. Conversely, when placed on the fourth line of the stave, it is known as the Tenor Clef.
These staves are specifically designated as the Alto and Tenor staves. Regardless of the line on which the C Clef is placed, the note represented on that line is always “Middle C,” as demonstrated in the aforementioned examples.
